Parents who have given our Love Paws new homes have something to say ...

I adopted little Teddy (formerly Keiko) from Love Paws earlier this month and he’s filled my heart with so much more joy.
It was clear that Teddy would be the perfect fit for our furry family and communicating with the owner made the decision that much easier. They stayed in contact the whole time and provided me with everything I needed for Teddy, which I am ever so grateful for!
They were so welcoming and even drove to where I was, just to make my trip to him easier. There’s no doubt that these little ones are very well cared for and loved, as Teddy has one of the most loving personalities that I’ve ever seen in a kitten.
One thing that I was not expecting was how little he sheds and how different the texture of his fur is from your typical domestic cat. That’s just another thing that makes him so unique, along with his brown coat!
Thank you Love Paws for allowing me to add sweet Teddy to our family. ❤

We wanted to get a friend for our Devon Rex Wellington, so we got in touch with Lovepaws about her Scottish Fold/Devon Rex kittens. We had fallen in love with Nessa (Choco) from the moment we saw her pictures. We loved that they post so many pictures and videos of thier kittens. We could see how happy and social the kittens were. We could see how much they cared about their kittens. Because we live so far away, they agreed to meet us halfway. Immediately we saw how much they loved their kittens. They both were very kind. Our little Ness is now a very loved member of our family who makes us laugh regularly. They have been fantastic in responding whenever we have had questions and is always asking us for updates and pictures on how Ness is getting on here.
Both Lovepaws teams (we got Wellington from Janet) have been amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Thank you, Lovepaws, we very much appreciate how helpful you were through this whole process.

I am very happy to have adopted my two little ones from Love Paws Cattery. Both are Scottish Fold kittens from the same litter.
Our family was originally planning on adopting only one kitten, but after communicating and being able to visit the kittens, we were assured that it was the right choice to adopt two of them from this loving home. The cattery has many adult cats living at the household and they are very keen on socializing the kittens. The impact of the home environment really shows as both Loki (Kai) and Tofu (Chi Chi) have amazing personality.
My experience with Lovepaws was wonderful. They were always prompt to response to any questions and concerns and kept me updated on the little one’s progress – their Instagram page is a wonder with frequent posts. The family was very kind, patient and informative during the whole process. Shout out on the blog he written on their website – it answered some of my questions before I needed to ask them. Their pickup package was great, including contract, health passport, food, toys that the kitties liked and a blanket with Mommy’s scent to help ease the transition to their new home.
I was worried that the little ones would have a hard time transitioning to their new home, but they have been such sweet and healthy angels.
They have been well litter train and took well to both wet and dry food. Kudos to the family for their love of Loki and Tofu when in their care.
I highly recommend adopting a kitten (or two) from Love Paws Cattery.
I will most definitely look to Lovepaws again in the future if I decide to adopt more kittens.

The experience buying a kitten from Love Paws was extremely easy.
I reached out to a lot of breeders before buying my kitten as a first-time cat owner and the Love Paws team was super quick to respond to all my questions and they were very sweet throughout the process.
When I went to go pick up my kitten, it was obvious how much they care about her cats. The kittens are well taken care of and well socialized. Little Hana is just a joy. She's so sweet, never aggressive, and is very playful. She has gotten more comfortable and cuddly as she's settled into my place and loves sleeping right on my pillow at night. Her fur has shed very minimally and she's been quite amenable to having her claws trimmed and teeth brushed (she doesn't like it, but it's not a huge fight to get it done).
I call her my little shadow, she likes being nearby anywhere I am and follows me from room to room. After the first few days, she's really stopped meowing unless she is hungry or wants something. I have taken her in the carrier in the car many times and she has gotten used to it and now tends to fall asleep in the carrier during car rides. I've also been making a point to socialize her around people and it's remarkable how easily she relaxes now in new places or around new people.
She is quite intense about her licking and "biscuit making" during the night. I sometimes have to put her outside of my bedroom because she loves licking and pushing her claws into my neck and inner arm, no matter how many times I push her away. It's very adorable though and I understand it's a sign of affection and soothing, so I feel bad kicking her out but I do need to sleep!
I have gotten soooo many comments from people saying she's the cutest or best looking cat they've seen, and many comments that she looks like a plush doll, almost too cute and perfect to be real! Overall, I absolutely adore her and couldn't be happier with her and the whole experience!

I was so happy to adopt my Scottish fold kitten from Love Paws Cattery. You can really tell that the kittens were given a lot of love and attention.
The Lovepaws team really know what they are doing to ensure high quality kitten care before they are adopted, and during the adoption transition. I could have not asked for a better kitty for my family.

My experience with Love Paws was wonderful. This gorgeous kitten with amazing rare colours was mine by chance. The kitten has his father's colours, extremely rare. He resembles a snow tiger.
They gave me a great package, including contract, food, and toys, which the kitten is still using. The cattery has many adults living at the household. The combinations of kittens they create are magical. I recommend strongly, to all bread lovers, looking for a rare find in terms of look. My kitten is amazing in character.
Strongly recommended this cattery.

When my boyfriend and I were deciding to adopt a kitten, we came across Love Paws Cattery and instantly fell in love! We had no issues when communicating with Lovepaws and felt so assured that we were adopting from a safe and loving home.
When we wanted to come see the kittens, They were so welcoming and allowed us to see Miso (Latte) before bringing her home with us. They answered all of our questions, gave us advice, and eased all of our worries as first time kitten parents.
Miso (Latte) as been such an amazing addition to our life and is truly the best kitten ever! She’s definitely very loving and we cannot be more thankful for how they’ve raised her!
We highly recommend adopting a kitten from Love Paws Cattery and cannot express how grateful and happy for everything they’ve done for us and Miso!

We came across Love Paws after an extensive search for Devon Rex breeders in Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada and the Eastern USA.
Not long before our search our female Devon Rex of almost 13 years passed away and we were devastated.
We were searching for a female kitten when we came across Love Paws, but to our absolute surprise were drawn to 2 male kittens who were obviously inseparable. Janet provided lots of live video access and pictures of the kittens and provided us an opportunity to bond with the idea of adding these two souls to our household. We also saw how Janet was interacting with the kittens and that was by far the best interaction of any breeder in the market, the kittens were not treated as commodities, they were cared for and there was an obvious genuine attachment between breeder and the kittens, this attachment did not exist in the other breeders we interviewed. We believe that the love and interaction between the breeder and kittens in the first months of their lives helps to shape their character. Janet has also kept in close contact to assure the kittens smooth transition.
With a confident decision made to proceed with Love Paws we placed our deposit and waited excitedly for about 3 weeks for our pick-up date to arrive. Once Janet signalled us that they were ready for pick-up, we got on a flight to Toronto and met Janet at the TO airport. As she was driven to the airport she was sending us photos of the kittens as they approached the airport - building the anticipation and attachment.
We were pacing inside the airport awaiting her to walk through the airport doors and the moment she walked through the doors she offered a hug and was carrying the two precious souls. We were blown away with how precious they were and how well considered the hand off package with some essentials and accessories was put together.
Its been a little over 3 weeks since they became the new members of our home and now we can’t imagine life without these two precious boys!
Best trip to Toronto ever!

With my first kitten, unfortunately, the person giving away their cats didn't take that much care and consideration of their clients like you guys did! They never gave us an amazing take home blanket with mamma's cats scent so my kitty could feel calmed and comfortable if stressed, and they didn't even give us an amazing toy goodies bag to take home with her!
Thankfully you guys took the time to actually take the kittens to their first vet appointment so they could receive their first vaccines! For my first kitten we had to run to the vet and get this done ourselves.
You and your family were such amazing people! You welcomed my mother and I to come visit the kitten, Nymeria, prior to placing a deposit. You welcomed us into your home rather than meeting with us somewhere else, and you were all kind, patient, considerate and friendly with us! My mother and I both loved how interactive you all were with potential buyers of the kittens, communicating with us, informing us and answering all our questions openly and calmly. It was also relieving to know that the kittens came from such a loving home, where they are well taken care for and spoiled!️
Thank you so much again for everything, your kindness and accepting of us to adopt your sweet little Snow (Nymeria).
It's such an honour.
Ilka, new Love Paws mommy in the GTA.
As a first time pet owner, I didn’t really know what to expect. However, the Love Paws family exceeded all of my known and unknown expectations. From our first interaction to the most recent one.
My family and I adopted Cream (Ferrero) and couldn’t be happier! The Love Paws family really went above and beyond to help us get Ferrero settled in. Thank you for being so informative, supportive and kind! Ferrero is the most healthy, sweet and joyful kitten we’ve ever seen.
I highly highly recommend going through this wonderful experience with Love Paws. They are amazing! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and a better addition to my family.

We can’t say enough about our experience with Janet and Love Paws.
My wife fell in love with Wellington (Welly) from some videos she found online that Janet had posted. She had been struggling due to Covid and the loss of a loved one but watching him made her happy. Our anniversary was coming up, so I decided to surprise her. I contacted Janet and told her I was interested but because it was a surprise, I wasn’t sure how I was going to sneak away and pick him up since we live 2 hours away.
Without hesitation, Janet said she would bring him to me. Her and her family drove the 2 hours and dropped Welly off along with some food, toys and health record. What an incredible family!
We’re first-time owners of the Devon Rex breed and he is amazing. He keeps us laughing.
We’ve now had Welly for almost a year and Janet still just as attentive and always responds when we have a question or concern.
We would 100% recommend the Love Paws Cattery if you’re looking to adopt a kitten. There is no doubt that when we are looking for our next Devon Rex (Welly might need a friend) we won’t hesitate to get in touch with Janet and this time we’ll do the drive.
Thank you again for everything Janet.

I had a great experience adopting a kitten from Love Paws Cattery!
I received quick responses to all my questions all the time. They were super nice when I visited to see the kitten. They also gave me a small bag of toys & food for my convenience including birth certificate and health records! Their cats and kittens are all really pretty!
A 5 star breeder!
Candice and Dan, new Love Paws parents from Oakville
Our experience with Janet was great! Communication was straightforward and prompt. Details were clear. Numerous video and photo updates kept us in the loop with how the kittens were doing. She was very accommodating with requests to visit the kittens and urged us to take all the time we wanted with them when visiting.
It was tough deciding which kitten to take because all of them were so affectionate and friendly. We could not have asked for anything better than what we got with our little boy. He loves us as much as we love him, and he shows it every day. As I type this, he is purring while calmly sitting on my lap.
We highly recommend Janet and hope that you are able to meet the wonderful kittens that come from her home!

We loved the experience we had with Janet at Love Paws. From the moment we contacted her to request a visit, she showed patience and cared that we choose the right kitten for our family. We noticed that other breeders we contacted were not quite so accomodating with visits and those that were, had numerous kittens roaming around. It felt like the kittens may not get the proper attention.
When we stopped by for a visit at Janet's, it was a different story. The nursery had all kinds of toys and places for the kittens to climb. We fell in love with beautiful Lexi. She was playful and curious, constantly jumping on our lap to check us out. Once we got home, I quietly placed a deposit without telling my wife. Then, on Mothers Day I arranged to pick up Lexi and surprise my wife. She was elated that I had chosen Lexi. We also received a great gift bag with a bunch of necessities for our new kitten. They were helpful since this was our first pet.
I would not hesitate to recommend Janet to anyone looking for a Devon Rex kitten. They are a specialized breed and Janet knows what she is doing.
Sarah, new Love Paws parent in Toronto
I came across Love Paws while researching Devon Rex breeders in the GTA. When I saw photos of their available kittens I instantly fell in love with the kitten that would later come to be known as Blue Bear. Janet was extremely responsive to all of my questions as a first time cat owner and was nothing but helpful throughout the journey of bringing Bear to his forever home.
We were also able to visit the litter prior to bringing him home and that's when I knew he was being raised in a beautiful and loving home environment. Blue Bear is an absolute joy in our lives and is loved by absolutely everyone he meets. There is no one I would have trusted more than Janet and the Love Paws Cattery for raising such a beautiful, friendly and healthy little boy, and I would recommend her cattery to anyone interested in bringing a Devon Rex into their home.
Genevieve Denis, new Love Paws parent in Montreal
I was in contact with Janet before we took the decision in adopting Toopy. She was very kind and we had many video chats. We drove 6 hours from Montreal to go pick him up and immediately fell in love with the tiny boy.
I had a Devon Rex before and their personality is perfect for our family. They are kind, joyful, loyal, and affectionate. My experience with Love Paws was perfect. You can tell they love their cats and the treat them with love and respect until they find a good home.
Suzanne Dimma, new Love Paws parent in Toronto
Every step of the adoption process of our kitten from Love Paws was wonderful. They are simply lovely and clearly cares so much for their cats and their kittens. Through Instagram, we were able to follow the development of the litter from birth until they were ready to leave. It was terrific to watch them feeding and playing with each other and with the amazing array of toys that they provided. She creates a safe, stimulating and nurturing enviroment where the kittens can thrive. Her cats and their kittens are clearly adored and taken care of exceptionally well.
As well, they were always available to answer any quesions and we were able to schedule a visit ahead of bringing home our new kitten. They provide all the necesary veterinarian documents and ensures that the kittens are litter trained and weaned so they can thrive in their new homes.
Our kitten is healthy, happy and confident and a beautiful additon to our family. I could not have asked for a better adoption experience or a more adorable kitten.

My Partner and I rescued a senior Devon Rex (named “Devon”) a few months into the pandemic in 2020. He turned 15 just after we brought him home and he thrived with us for 14 months until we lost him two months after his 16th birthday. I’ve lived with a lot of cats in my life (we still have Addie, a 12-year-old tabby) but those 14 months changed us profoundly, and we were hooked on these amazing creatures. Only a few days after Devon passed away we realized that the hole he left was far too big to cope with, so we decided to add a new Devon kitten to our home.
Being new to the concept of acquiring a purebred cat, we encountered some disappointing – and downright shady – breeders over the first few days. But then the fates dropped Love Paws Cattery into our laps via an out-of-town kijiji ad that Sarah (my partner) stumbled upon. We reached out to them and knew almost immediately that this was someplace special. Janet told us that one of their breeding females had had a litter of three boys who would be ready to go home with us in about a month. One of them had already been spoken for, but the two all-white lads were available. We asked if we could come and see them (which had been not allowed by the disreputable breeders) and she invited us to drop in that weekend.
She and her husband and son welcomed us warmly into their home, and then produced two adorable squirming nine-week-old bundles for us to hold and interact with on the floor of their living room. At no time were we rushed nor did we ever feel any pressure from the three of them to commit to reserving a kitten and, after a short while, one of them very clearly chose us and that was that! We went back to pick up our precious kitten (whom we decided to name “Winton,” which is a city in Australia) just before he turned three months old, and from the first moment he stepped into his “furever home” he settled right in, showing no signs of fear or shyness whatsoever. I attribute this to the amazing job Janet and her family do in socializing the kittens from a very young age, because now, at eight months of age, Winton is every bit as warm, snuggly, inquisitive, and sociable as the day we brought him home. Words could never fully describe how much we adore this little soul.
The litter Winton was born into was the very first at the Love Paws Cattery, but you’d never have known it. Their devotion, their skill at handling not only the kittens but also the adult cats who live there, their kindness to us as first-timers ourselves, all seem to indicate years of experience, but really just speak to talent, empathy, and love. The incredible package he came home with – including photos of him as a newborn, and a toy and blanket he was fond of, among many other special things – made the experience even more special. We feel so very fortunate to have found them when we did, and we are absolutely convinced that our dear, old departed “Devon” had a hand in it. Our spirits feel whole again. Thank you all so much!
